That was a nail-biting final game. Both teams played one hell of a game, with Japan proving that despite their small size, they were every bit as tough and perservering as the US team. Well done, Japanese women! You deserve that cup.

I imagine it's pretty quiet in the US camp tonight. I don't think I've ever seen a national team miss 3 penalty kicks in a row in a shootout...one an actual miss!

Now, I need to get back to some serious writing...
