Hello everyone

First, what a great board and resource. I am a "wanna-be" ebook writer, and have been thinking about writing a printed book for some time, until I read about Amanda Hocking http://amandahocking.blogspot.com/2010/08/epic-tale-of-how-it-all-happened.html, which inspired me. I have had some articles published in the local newspaper and regional newsletters, so I am ready to take it to the next level.

While I am busy working on content, I am not the most talented artist or designer. What are people doing regarding covers ? Hiring outside help ? Who ? Any recommended sources or providers/contractors for cover art for ebooks ?

Thank You

Hello and welcome!

I'd like to go ahead and recommend myself as a cover design source:

I'm having a great time working with some really nice authors and make the book and the author my #1 priority.

Good luck with your book!

My publisher has a great new service for first-timers (and anyone else) - an ebook design package (although they also do just covers if you want). Mine's a good example and gets lots of positive feedback. Have a look at some more examples at www.mojitopressplus.com. And good luck with it all!

I recommend streetlightgraphics.com for covers. He did all four of mine. Very nice guy, easy to get along with, good prices.
