Cover art specific stock photo site

I was just emailed by the people who run this site (inviting to see if I wanted to submit my art to their collection) and I hadn't seen it posted here on KindleBoards before so I thought I'd share.
It's a stock photo/art site specifically for cover art. It isn't a huge selection, but it looks like a really nice selection from the quick browse I did. I haven't logged in or anything yet so I don't know what their pricing is like.

I looked at the site. Nice stuff. I'll keep it in mind.

Thanks for posting it.
Interesting selection. It looks nicer than most stock sites. I'm a little confused as to the nature of the licensing though, if it varies by photo or if their site terms of use describe the license in its entirety; the terms of use don't make it clear to me (at least in a brief overview) what limitations there are on the usage or if you have a limited number of print runs, etc. All sites are pretty bad about clarifying that sort of thing though.

The lack of upfront prices bothers me. They really need to give users an idea of what kind of prices to expect. Otherwise why bother signing up?

I tried to find pricing in their info and stuff too, but even there it was vague. It almost sounded like, even when registered, you still have to apply for a quote for the stock you're interested in? I don't know.
But hey, pretty pictures. ::) If someone is really interested in one maybe they'll work it out.
Wow, there are some beautiful images there. Thanks for posting.

I registered, and still can't see prices.

I expect them to be about on par with Alamy and Getty and so on, given their licensing terms. Expensive, in other words.
Their requirement of Adobe 98 color space for submissions tells me they cater to high end print jobs, not so much smaller operations. You have to know what you're doing with Adobe 98 or your stuff will look way out of color.
Most of the photo sites that don't list prices. Base it on what you are planning to use it for.

Then they work out $x for 1000 runs.

I agree i prefer sites that list prices like shutterstock and gettyimages

Excellent images. Far superior to most I've seen.
Very inspiring collection!  thanks for the link.
It is nice, but I just can't be bothered to buy rights-managed stuff. I'll keep getting $3.00 images that are used on everything else, because if it's 11pm and I'm doing a book cover, I want my artwork at 11:05pm because I need to start drinking and upload my files with the typos in the descriptions by 1am.
They have some nice art, but rights managed stuff seems to be lingering in the 20th century with poor terms for digital publication, or that was the case with what I looked at. Still, theirs is much more suitable for covers than most so it's a site to add to the list to look at.
Yeah, the rights and pricing issues are making this not look as exciting any more. It would be great to see a site like this for cover specific stock that had more realistic rights and pricing. It was just interesting seeing this, as most stock photos on other sites are really more suited to magazines or ads than covers.
The naked little girl with the apple is very disturbing. I don't think I would want to buy from that site.

I agree, very disturbing.

is for romance book covers, there are premades as well as stock photos of couples and single male and females too. They are deliberately posed for book covers.

Really? It just looks innocent to me. But I do tend toward naïveté and don't pick up on darker intentions.

Romancenovelcovers looks interesting, I'll have to check it out more when I'm not browsing from my phone. I'm just waiting for a youngadultnovelcovers.com :p
Jimmy Thomas' Romance Novel Covers site is a good concept, and I hope more follow the lead to make others. I feel JT himself is becoming a romance novel cliche on par with Fabio, so I stay away. But he wanted to be everywhere, and he did it!
