Debbie Macomber?

i haven't read this series by her yet but I loved her Blossom Street Series. They are about a gal who opens a yarn shop, called a Good Yarn. I have heard from others that they liked the Ceder series as well.

Last year while staying at the inlaws I was bored and looking for something to read in my MIL's library(pre K).  I ended up reading one of Macombers books.  It wasn't bad, easy to read but nothing I would brag about.  There wasn't any cussing or sex in the one I read.  Since my MIL reads her, I would assume they are all that way.  I read... A Good Yarn.  

Try a sample if you aren't sure.  

My mother reads Debbie Macomber and likes her books.  I think she read the Cedar Cove series.  I haven't read any of hers. 

I'm a long time Debbie Macomber reader and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

It's light reading which we all need sometimes.  At least I do after pouring over contracts all day.  For some reason the first part of her books don't grab me but I've learned to keep reading and they do get you hooked.

They are good not great.  They do provide an escape.  There are 8 or 9 of them and they all build on the last. They are what I call a cozy read not at thiller even though they do have some mystery elements to them.  Hope this helps.

I am a big Debbie Macomber fan, and I've never been disappointed by any of her books. They are warm, friendly, family oriented stories, and after 12 hours of painful and sometimes ugly reality as a 911 dispatcher, they are the perfect escape.
They have no explicit sex or language, which I personally prefer due to dealing with an excess of both at work!

I completely understand.  After you send the proper authorities to deal with the various situations, those same folks often end up in court, i.e. criminal or civil action.  That's where I get to hear all about their aches and pains, or the fact that this was the first time they'd ever did a drug, robbed a store, etc., and they will never do it again.  Of course, they forget they told us that last month.  And then the juvenile cases can be very trying.  Anyway, sometimes at the end of the day I just need something that is light and helps me forget all the crap I listened to all day.

I've known Debbie for a good many years and her books are delightful light read.  There's no strong angst or sex or violence.  Just a good story each and every time.

Try TWENTY WISHES, one of my favorites.  Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be in Kindle format yet.

Doesnt she write knitting or crochet pattern books too? (the name sounds familiar...I'm a crocheter and a knitter)

I got Twenty Wishes for my Kindle over the summer for $9.99 (it's $13.47 right now).  It is actually the third or fourth book in the Blossom Street series.  This one has only sporadic knitting, whereas the first two are much more knitting related.

She recently released a nonfiction knitting book. I'm not a knitter, so haven't read it.

I have read the Cedar Cove Series and the Blossom Street series.  I have all of them in regular book format and make sure I get them in them in regular book format as they come out.  She is one of my favorites.

Can you not get a sample?  If you are out of Whispernet, maybe someone here will email you a sample.

20 Wishes was on my TBR list. I also saw the price increase. I'd like to get that book someday if the price goes down.
