Can someone please tell me how to delete books so they don't show up on my home screen? Also, can I delete all the stuff from Amazon from the home page? The letter from them, etc....I just want my current reads on the screen, that's it. Thanks!!

Do you have a K2?  I can delete on my K1 very easily, but I was not able to figure out how to do it on my mom's K2.  I'm interested in this answer as well.

Assuming K2:  On the home screen, click down to the book you want to delete.  Move the 5-way controller to the left.  Click to delete.  

If this is something you got from Amazon, it will archive to the Amazon servers.  It will show up in your Archived Items, and you can re-download it from there directly to the Kindle.

If you didn't get it from Amazon, you need to be sure you have a backup on your computer, because Amazon will not store it for you!
