I need to know how I would delete a draft from my bookshelf. I click on action and it doesn't give me an option for it. Could someone help me, please.

I don't have the answer, but I would like to know how people can get refunds for books they don't want.

You can call Amazon and tell them you don't like the books and they will give you a credit on your credit card with no questions asked.

However, you only have 7 days to do this though.

I have called them on a couple of books that I didn't like and they were very helpful and I received my refund with no questions asked.  They ask you to delete the book off your Kindle though.  I am not sure what happen if you don't, but I suspect it gets deleted when you connect to WiFi the next time?

Yes, it will be deleted the next time you are connected to their server.

I'm not clear on what you mean by deleting 'from my bookshelf' and clicking on 'action'. ???

On the Kindle, if you have a book that you no longer want on the device -- whether it be one purchased at Amazon or one you loaded yourself -- you click the controller to the right and then click on 'remove from device'. If it's your own stuff the option will be 'delete this document'.

Alternatively, you can select the title and click to the left. You'll be asked to confirm a 'remove' or delete' depending on if it's an Amazon book or your own. Note that, if you sort by collections and select a book that's in a collection, this operation will just remove it from the collection.

Note that, for a book purchased from Amazon, this will NOT remove it completely from your collection. It will still be available to re-download via Archived Items, though may not show there until after you've connected wirelessly. If it's a non-Amazon book that you delete, it's gone forever as far as the Kindle is concerned. You could, of course, re-load it again from your own computer.

For an Amazon book you never want again, you can delete it permanently via the Manage Your Kindle page. Find the book in the listing of your orders and expand it. You'll see an option on the right to delete it, and you'll have to confirm that you want to do so. If the book's still on the Kindle when you do this, it won't disappear, but if you delete it, you won't be able to reload it.

I'm guessing the OP is talking about Kindle Direct Publishing kdp.amazon.com which seems to have bookshelves and drafts.

OP, you may want to ask the question on the forums on KDP, I suspect you'll get a better answer there than here. Alternatively you can try asking in the Writers Cafe http://www.kboards.com/index.php/board,60.0.html

Ann, you may want to move this question over there and see if the writers can help.
I'ved moved this to the Writer's Cafe as I think you'll get a better response there!

If you mean a book that you had published then unpublished, I think it remains on your Bookshelf.

You can always delete it by using "Edit Book Details" and overwriting the details with your next book when you have one ready to publish.
