Hello everyone, I have been helping a friend of the family put out their first book. Tonight I have been doing all the uploading, pricing, formatting and what not. So, I was just doing the last few things on the authorcentral page when I noticed something that I never noticed before. You get the option to have 30% royalties or 70% royalties and the 70% being a min of $2.99. I am from the U.K, so I was pricing this authors book the same in the U.S/U.K, so I de-selected base U.K price on U.S price. It then states that the U.K 70% min was £1.40 and not $2.99 like in the U.S. I have never noticed this before. It means that for most authors if that raised the book price by 50p in the U.K they would get 40% more of the royalties. Do you think amazon kindle has done this to motivate people to raise book prices?
