I thought I would measure both covers to see the differences, since there have been questions on that.  (And I remembered that I had a digital kitchen scale from a past dieting project.)

Amazon:
- weight(case only) = 6.3 oz
- length = 8 1/4 inches
- width  = 5 3/4 inches
- height = 3/4 to 1 inch
(this is with K2 inside & depending on whether it is held tightly closed or relaxed)

Oberon (Forest with velcro):
- weight(case only) = 8.9 oz
- length = 8 5/8 inches
- width  = 6 inches
- height = 3/4 to 1 inch
(this is with K2 inside, and is to the top edge, not including the button, and depending on whether it is held tightly closed or relaxed)

So the Oberon weighs 2.6 ounces more than the Amazon cover and is only slightly bigger in size.

I was surprised that the dimensions were so close, because the Oberon does have a slight amount of space around the Kindle; the K2 was closer to the edges in the Amazon case.  The presentation in the Oberon is still sleek, not bulky, even though the cover is highly textured - very rich looking.
