Along with the bug fixes, do the recent updates/patches to the Kindle 2 also change Text-to-Speech? I read that Amazon has changed its DRM model so that publishers have to OPT-IN for customers of their book to use the Text-to-Speech feature. Any ideas?
Actually, it's the opposite. If the publishers don't want the text-to-speech enabled on the books, they have to opt-out and request it be disabled. It's something that can/will be done through the book file, not the Kindle itself (or so I've been told)
I haven't heard of any books yet that don't work yet though.
