Does anyone know which books this belongs to?

I remember a while back there was a thread on this book cover where a little girl/boy was running through a field and behind her/him was a trail of glowing dust?  I think it was Sci-Fi but maybe YA?  We discussed the cover and how the stars should have been done in foil for the dust-jacket version.

I have been searching ALL DAY with no luck.  But, I am gathering ideas for a book cover and the effect of the dust is something I want ... so it's a good reference.

Thanks!

Here's the book that was discussed there:

THANK YOU!  That is it!  I will be smarter this time around and bookmark it!!
Yay! Happy I could help. First, I searched for the word "foil." There were many results, but I didn't see that thread. I found it by searching for the word "sparkles." :)
That is a BEAUTIFUL cover.  One of the best I've ever seen.  Wow.
You're much smarter then I am ... I tried to sift through all my posts and then tried to google and then tried to find it on Amazon.  Very, very intensive.  You are literally a life saver.

Yes, I love the cover too.  I'm excited to see how, when the time comes, it will translate into my half-baked idea.
If you look at my new book cover, you'll see a similar effect.

This is achieved with photoshop brushes (but you can do it by hand). After the pattern is laid, you'll want to use the brush tool on airbrush in various sizes and spray some white on the dots to varying opacities (use layers). This creates variance and dimensionality. Hard light setting on pattern layers creates a good bright effect.

That's a lovely cover and you are a thousand times more talented then I am ... I hire out my covers, otherwise they would be GOD AWFUL!

Thank you! Well, I guess my little tutorial is unneeded. :) But yes, I noticed that the sparkles were in vogue for Dark Fantasy and so I put some on to catch the target market's eye. (I totally changed my cover for the new year so this cover's been live less than a month.) I noticed similar covers for YA Paranormal, as well. This is not YA, but paranormal applies.
