I love books about Druids and Priestesses based in Ireland, Scotland and England.  As an example, I loved the Sevenwaters series and The Mists of Avalon.  The further back in time the book goes the more I like it and if it has magic, I am even happier.  I don't like books based on battles or political maneuvering unless it is a very small part of the story.  I would appreciate your recommendations.

Thank you,

Anela

It's a series. I'm not sure I pointed you to the first one...there's at least 3 in the series. I think it might be what you're looking for.

In YA, there is also Michelle Scott Dragons of Hazlett. Well, it's not supposed to be YA, but I *thought* it was kind of YA.

Also, Tamora Pierce has a couple of series that are probably close to what you're after. (Beka something and also Wild Magic and the series that is before Wild Magic--all themes might be close to what you are looking for--she's a great writer.)

Last but not least: Joshua Palmatier ... http://www.amazon.com/The-Skewed-Throne-ebook/dp/B002DQDO84/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1308510611&sr=1-1 There's 3 in that series too.
