I use calibre. It's a free 3rd party software. Think of it as iTunes for ebooks (but not as obnoxious as iTunes). But you can't do it directly on the Kindle, you'll need to copy it to your PC to make the changes. I'm not sure there is a program where you can edit it on the device.
Yes - two thumbs up for Calibre. Very good piece of software; easy to use and best of all, FREE! One of the best features is that you can create your own fields (I created a field to track where I got the book, another for the price, one for my Kindle Category and another to track when I read the book.
