Hey all,

I just saw the results of EDMs done by a large national business so I thought I might put up some info here so you can compare. I can not provide any further detail about the emails as commercial in confidence, but someone finds the following useful.

Weekly Newsletter 12%
Email containing special offer targeted at VIP customers 32%
Location based special offer for Valentines day 15-20% depending on location.

It is interesting to notice the difference in open rate between a standard newsletter and special offers particularly when targeting VIP customers. I think this gives even more weight to the idea of keeping separate lists for VIPs (people that read your book, liked it and signed up) and others (people who signed up to get a freebie etc).
