ENT bargain book yesterday and now afraid to raise price

I had my books on sale for all of December through New Year's for $0.99 except the new release. I found out yesterday I was a last minute bargain book of the day for ENT. Of course, I was thrilled all day. I've never sold that many (265). I always planned to put my price back to $3.99 today for a while and maybe go perma free at some point in the next several months. I'm just starting the 3rd book in the series.

Now i'm afraid to raise my price. It's really nice to see it at #14 in Christian Fiction, and I've never been under #1000 paid. I'd love to see it stick for a bit in the couple of best seller lists I'm on. Will raising my price help or hurt?  Thanks.

I suggest leaving the price alone for a few days. The notifications and postings from ENT will not have been picked up and read by all at the same time. You could see an increase in sales today and tomorrow as subscribers review late emails.

Wait a few days and then put your price back.
What's the second book in the series priced at?  If the second book is 3.99 or so I'd leave the first one at .99 cents, since it looks like it's bringing you a good amount of readers and you can make your money from them buying the other books.
If and when you do go up, I suggest going to $2.99 so you get the 70% commission and are still in the Books under $3 that ENT promotes.  = )
The second day will sell about 1/3 of what the first day will, but after that it will fall very very fast.  This rank isn't going to last. I've done many ENT bargain days now and they are all fun, but now I know--get what you need to out of the sales as they are fleeting no matter what you do to your price.
@Brian  that's a good point about the late email readers. thanks.

@ Rashad  the 2nd is $2.99 (since it's a bit shorter). Thanks for the advice.

@tensejim What does ENT do to promote books under $3 and how do you get on it? Thanks.
I am new to ENT, but I have noticed they post a link to books under $3. I will have to check it out to make sure it is not the top 100 $3 Amazon link. Either way, $2.99 is a great price for a good book! I tried putting my book for sale at .99 for a few days and nothing happened, bumped it up to $3.99 and sold three copies! I ended up just putting it at $2.99 and left it there. I am new to all of this though so still learning  = )

Thanks for the perspective, texasgirl. i think i knew it would all be fleeting, but you just want to see it last and not mess it up. i'll probably raise it tomorrow and let the 2nd day people still pick it up for $0.99.
I was looking at ENT on FB, I may have mistaken them for another site, sorry about that. Still, I hold to the $2.99, great price hehe  = )
@tensejim - good luck with your sales.

i went out to ENT both web and fb and didn't see a section for < $3 books, only the bargain at $0.99 and free as well as the book of the day which is paid so i assume it can be whatever price people have.  i'll probably go back to $3.99 tomorrow.  thanks for reading and posting.

This. Even if you leave it at 99 cents after the promo, the ranking isn't going to stick. It's a nice short spike, but that's all it is.

thanks, Amanda!
I just looked at my spreadsheet:

Day 1: HUGGGGGE jump ;)
Day 2: about 48% of day 1
Day 3-10: still higher than normal, but not crazy
Day 11+ It bumped me to the next level until the holiday slump. Again, nothing crazy, but that month's paycheck even without days 1 and 2 would still be my best by about double.
