Greetings everyone,

Fantasy Genre, Debut Author with a new book out titled "The Black Dragon", A Claire-Agon Dragon Book.  Here is my blurb from my Amazon page:

*****
A thousand years ago, on the world of Claire-Agon, a war raged between men and dragons.

When an expedition of elite warriors goes missing in the fetid Kero Swamp, Olivia Moross, Priestess of Astor and daughter of the regional prefect, is caught in the conflict between her divine holy order, the sinister Kesh wizards, and the nobles of the ruling class of Ulatha.

Seeking the fate of the lost expedition, and struggling to learn what might exist in the desolate Kero Swamp, Olivia finds herself battling forces both human and inhuman. With the help of her father's nobles and an unexpected Ranger of the Arnen, she must not only save her town, but also remain true to her beliefs in the pursuit of the truth.

Olivia soon discovers that in the world of Claire-Agon, when dealing with a Black Dragon, sometimes dead is better.

*****
Author's Note:
The Dragon Book Series are five books highlighting each of the five chromatic dragons found in the world of Claire-Agon. Each book can be read independently of each other and in no particular order however they take place during the same time frame and involve many of the same characters and locations of the Claire-Agon world.

*****

You can see the cover in my signature line.  I want to make a special shout out to Cagnes for stepping forward and helping this aspiring OLD author with my feeble attempt at a cover.  I think she did a fantastic job and really helped me to make this story happen so Cagnes, Thank you!  Finally I'd like to thank the many Kboard members, especially those in the Writer's Cafe, for taking the time to share their experiences, successes, failures and overall opinions on the matter of publishing and crafting an author's work.

Warmest regards,
Salvador Mercer

Welcome to KBoards, Or Welcome Back ;) OR Hi, glad you're still here. :D Congratulations on the book! :)

Much of what follows you should already be aware of, as it was included in the information you agreed to when you signed up. So please consider this to be just a friendly reminder. :) (The posting of this 'welcome letter' doesn't mean you've done anything wrong; we just want you to have a ready reference, so we post this note in every thread. :) )

KBoards is a Fan forum for Readers, Writers and Kindle Lovers. Authors are always welcome to post anywhere but, as you browse the 'boards, please keep in mind that self-promotion, of any sort, is ONLY allowed here in the Book Bazaar.

A brief recap of our rules follows:

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function or the Kboards bookmark tool available on each thread) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information. You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days. Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link. Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KBoards as time allows. This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles! Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts outside the Book Bazaar constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post. For information on more ways to promote here on KBoards, be sure to check out this thread:

All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum. Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules.

Ah Ann... I don't think you read my post  :D

I buried a question way down at the bottom and it's still unanswered but hopefully I am still within the rules for this post by posting only after a response.  Still will be good to know for future posts of which I hope to have many.  The question was about updating the "Subject" line to simply show when the book is "FREE" or discounted etc.

Thanks,
SM

Hi everyone, (anyone?)

I booked a Kboards Discovery promotion scheduled for April 17th.  The Writer's Café has been a wonderful resource to us authors and I wanted my first paid promo to pay it forward to such a great place as our Kboards.  Having said that if there are any Fantasy genre reader's who would like a good read let me know.  I'm still waiting on reviews despite close to 200 downloads so they are hard to achieve but I'd like to think my little book (77k words) has a pretty good story in it but I'd love to hear what an actual reader thinks about it.  Until a reader rates the book it won't matter what an author thinks.

Thanks for the support!  Enjoy your current reads.  Lot's of good books out there.

Regards for now!

Hi everyone,

I finally finished the print formatting and submitted it to Createspace for the paperback, which is now available on Amazon as well.  Also the little Black Dragon who could, has slowly climbed back into it's top 100 sub categories after a small April promotion.  The book is starting to gain steam and my second book will go into editing next week.

Come see what the buzz is about if you read the fantasy genre.  The book is still specially priced for sale at only 99 cents, less than half what I spend on my Venti Blonde each morning at Starbucks, so take the plunge and see what's happening the world of Claire-Agon.  Readers say they love the twist (Except one 5 star reviewer who didn't, but enjoyed the rest of the book)

Regards for now,
