It's the new paint.

Yeah, I love the new logo! Everything looks great around here.

It has even remembered how long I've been logged in (and I really don't want to know that!)

Yeah, but we still have the "Kindle Boards" links above, and I had to sign in. Man, I hate signing in. This sucks.  (somebody had to bitch about it, thought I'd get the ball rolling)

It's even got that new car smell.

Kudos to Harvey and whoever else was working on the transition.

I was actually going to comment that what I like about the change is that there isn't much change. No attempts at some fancy-schmancy re-design with flashy graphics and a new colour scheme. Everything is cozily familiar.

The search function doesn't seem to work to find my old bookmarked threads...

Aw crap! Mine are gone, too. I KNEW I should've printed out my bookmarked threads.

Folks, if you know how to edit your booksmarks in your browser (and if you don't, tell me which browser you're using and I can try to help), you can simply replace "kindleboards.com" with "kboards.com" and the bookmark will work.

The search function (the Google custom search in the grey menu grouping) will resume working in a few days; the Google bot has to recrawl through the site with the new links...

Keep jiggling the handle, it'll work eventually!

Yes, it will take a few days for Google to re-index the site, and then Search will start working again.

Glad you all are enjoying the new place. . . .It's really a lot like the old place.

Don't forget to change any bookmarks you may have for specific threads. . .just change the 'kindleboards' to 'kboards' in your browser bookmark and it should work.  Your old bookmarks will just lead to the old kindleboards main page.

Ah. . .I see Betsy beat me to it. . . . .

FWIW, the BOARD search. . . 4th from the left in the menu bar, does still seem to work. . . .
