Now, here comes the exact opposite. There are films, novels, TV shows that many people despise. But you, of all people, ending up either liking them or viewing them as guilty pleasures.

For example, not a lot of people like the 1976 remake of King Kong, or the Ernest movies from the 90's (Ernest Goes to Jail, Ernest Saves Christmas, etc.) . I will admit that these are not "Godfather" material, but at least I still have fun watching them. There's also Mars Attacks, the sci-fi comedy from Tim Burton. People say that it's not that funny, but I'd say it is.

What are the films, novels, and TV shows that you love but everyone else hates?

Not Oscar material for sure, but I rather liked the movie "Zardoz", though many don't -- in part because of this, I think:

(I love any excuse to irritate some people here by posting that. ;) )

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Van Helsing. Old Ellery Queen TV series. OK, not everyone hates The Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser, but they are not nearly as popular as they should be. Quite a few lush historical Chinese movies that for some reason don't appeal to the Western audience.

NogDog - this is just...soooo wrong
