Pray tell which devices? (I think that you're wrong.)

ETA: I just sent a PDF file to a Kindle Keyboard, a Kindle Fire Second Generation, a Fire HD 6, and the Kindle for iOS app on an iPad 2. It displayed well and was easy to read and to navigate through. That's because it was properly designed and formatted. You can't just throw any old thing out there and expect it to work and then complain when it doesn't.

You can send a PDF to a Kindle.
If you upload a PDF to KDP Publishing, Amazon will only send it to certain devices, due to the fact it is not reflowable text.

We were talking two different ideas.

I had to readjust the font on a spreadsheet before making it a pdf so I could read it on an ereader.
