I need a little more help with naming my book and series. I'm looking at two choices right now.

1) The Black God's War: Maelstrom of Light (Splendor and Ruin, Book I)
2) The Black God's War (Maelstrom of Light, Book I)

In #1, the name of the series is 'Splendor and Ruin.' In #2, the name of the series is 'Maelstrom of Light.' What do you think? Thanks!

I prefer Splendor and Ruin as the series name. Catchy.

Neither:

The Black God's War (Splendor and Ruin, Book 1)

One hesitates to say so because one is fairly convinced you're attached to it, but "Maelstrom of Light" is kinda squishy. "Splendor and Ruin" is much stronger.

Definitely go with "Splendor and Ruin" for the series name.

Okay, between here and some other places where I've asked for feedback, 'Splendor and Ruin' definitely wins as the series title. I think I'm going to go with this:

The Black God's War (Splendor and Ruin, Book I)

Then maybe I'll use 'Maelstrom of Light' as the title for book 2. Thanks for your help, everyone!
