Just finished Frank, The Voice, written by James Kaplan. A compelling biography that details Frank's life before the rat pack years. Actually I'm not old enough to remember when Frank was crooning, but he was no doubt America's first teen idol. Also cannot recall Ava Gardner, whom Frank dumped his first wife and kids for and almost lost his mind over. Perhaps the 40's and 50's weren't the era of the Golden Generation; the same social ills occurring today were just as prevalent back then. Only today people think that airing dirty laundry is bold and admirable. Anyhoo, the book is still an interesting read.
