Time Is Money: An Anthony Stone Novel, by Silk White. (Still free?)

"Thrill ride from front to back. Ghost is an awesome character and a blast to read about. Like something right out of a summer blockbuster I had a great time with this story. Not many authors can pull off that "love, hate" feeling for a character (Ghost)... but this one does." -- Amazon reviewer

Meet Anthony Stone... one of the best detectives that New York City has ever seen. He lives by the motto "shoot first and ask questions never."

Stone's life changes when his lieutenant assigns him to a bank robbery case. His job is to take down four ruthless and vicious bank robbers who will do anything to stay alive and, more importantly, stay out of jail. The leader of the bank robbers is a man that goes by the name Ghost.

When it comes to money, Ghost and his team will do anything it takes to get it, even if that means taking innocent lives. Ghost's one weakness is his little sister Dana. Dana is a beautiful young lady that always seems to attract the wrong type of guy. But when she finds Mr. Right and refuses to leave him no matter what anyone says, things take a turn for the worst.

Join Anthony Stone as he goes deep into the underworld to track down a crew of the most violent and deadliest bank robbers.

Zombie Fallout, by Mark Tufo. (Still free?)

"Zombies with sex appeal, rednecks in monster trucks, and a round-boy Wally World door greeter who hears the voice of the "All Knowing" and thinks it's Ryan Seacrest? You betcha! This book was a laugh a minute without trying to be a parody. The mundane and everyday things that happen to these people in the middle of the Zombie Apocalypse make this book more realistic and accessible than any of the gore fest or techno-babble zombie fiction of recent memory. It all make sense when Mr. Tufo puts them on the page along with enough action to keep you turning pages. I loved this book and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for some fresh air in the putrid world of zombies." -- Amazon reviewer

Late Fall - 2010

Reuters - Estimates say that nearly three thousand people nationwide, and fifteen thousand people worldwide have died of the H1N1 virus or Swine flu and nearly eighty thousand cases have been confirmed in hospitals and clinics across the United States and the world, the World Heath Organization reported. The influenza pandemic of 2010, while not nearly as prolific as the one that raged in 1918 still has citizens around the world in a near state of panic.

New York Post (Headlines October 31st) - Beware! Children Carry Germs! - Halloween Canceled!

New York Times - (Headlines November 3rd) - Swine flu claims latest victim - Vice President surrounded by family and friends at the end.

Boston Globe - (Headlines November 28th) - Swine Flu Vaccinations Coming!

Boston Herald - (Headlines December 6th) - Shots in Short Supply - Lines Long!

National Enquirer - (Headlines December 7th) - The Dead Walk!

There would be no more headlines.

It started in a lab at the CDC (Center for Disease Control), virologists were so relieved to finally have an effective vaccination against the virulent swine flu. Pressure to come up with something had come from the highest office in the land. In an attempt at speed the virologists had made two mistakes, first they used a live virus and second they didn't properly test for side effects. Within days hundreds of thousands of vaccinations shipped across the US and the world. People lined up for the shots, like they were waiting in line for concert tickets. Fights broke out in drugstores as fearful throngs tried their best to get one of the limited shots. Within days the CDC knew something was wrong. Between 4 and 7 hours of receiving the shot roughly 95% succumbed to the active H1N1 virus in the vaccination. More unfortunate than the death of the infected was the added side effect of reanimation, it would be a decade before scientists were able to ascertain how that happened. The panic that followed couldn't be measured. Loved ones did what loved ones always do, they tried to comfort, their kids or their spouses or their siblings, but what came back was not human not even remotely. Those people that survived their first encounter with these monstrosities usually did not come through unscathed, if bitten they had fewer than 6 hours of humanity left, the clock was ticking. During the first few hysteria ridden days of The Coming as it has become known, many thought the virus was airborne, luckily that was not the case or nobody would have survived. It was a dark time in human history. One from which we may never be able to pull ourselves out of the ashes from.

GONE - Part One (The GONE Series Book 1), by Deborah Bladon. (Still 0.99?)

"I first found Bladon's books a couple of months ago, and I haven't been able to stop reading her work. She writes with great detail and passion and brings her characters to life on the pages. Gone is a wonderful addition to her collection I love how she finds details of her others series and brings them to her new ones. It's a great way to relate the different series together. Gone is not just another rich man falling in love with an employee. Lily and Clive are going to compliment each other wonderfully." -- Amazon reviewer

The first part of GONE, a three-part series from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Deborah Bladon.

Sending a half-naked picture to a stranger she met online, seems innocent and fun to Lilly Randall. After spending the past four years working towards an honors degree, she needs a distraction and flirting with a man she doesn't know can't hurt, right?

Clive Parker is the one man who holds all of Lilly's dreams in the palm of his hand. He's the CEO of one of the world's largest technology firms. When her picture ends up in his pocket, her future will never be the same again.

She wants him to see her potential. He questions her motives. Neither can deny the unexpected attraction that exists between them.

When Clive's doubts begin to push them apart, Lilly is forced to face the reality that nothing in life is guaranteed and in the blink of an eye, everything you value can be gone.

Note: This ends in a cliffhanger.

Lose Your Inches Without Losing Your Mind!: 10 Simple Weeks to a Slimmer Waistline and a Healthier You, by Justine SanFilippo. (Still 0.99?)

"Funny, informative, well structured, and makes sense. This 10-week plan is one that you can actually follow without losing your mind. It's a baby steps approach to doing all the things we know we should do, but don't: cut sugar, stop eat prepackaged foods, eat whole foods, drink more water, cut pop and junk, exercise more. This is the first book I've read that breaks it down into weekly baby steps, with achievable goals that you set yourself. Usually you are told what to do or not to do, but Justine lets you pick your top 3 or 5 steps each week, that you think you will be able to achieve. Very user friendly and makes a ton of sense.
