FREE cover if anyone could possibly find it useful

624 Views 10 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  theaatkinson
I spent some time a while back working on a scifi type story and played around with some free pics to create a cover, but never used it. Never finished the story. I thought someone might find it useful and if not, then no worries. I'll just keep it on my harddrive.

I can't use it, and I'm not sure it will appeal, but if someone wants it, then you're welcome to it. I can add your name and book title for ya.

It would be perfect for a novella I have already written! Feel free to PM me if it's still available. :)

cheers,

PM'd ya Cate. It's not the quality of some wonderful covers you have in your sig, but it might do if it fits. Happy to pass it off if it's usable for you.
Kathleen. THanks for your generous compliment.
Thea, the covers in your signature are so beautiful. Do you make them all yourself?

I love that it's different from the others in my sig - and I think it's a powerful, evocative image, like Kathleen said. Sending you my info. Thanks!

Wow. thanks, Becca. Yeah. I do make them myself. I think it shows, though. I have enough skill to build something, but not enough of a creative eye to create what I'd like to see. Plus, the typography has got me stymied. I'm researching and learning, but I'm still not satisfied. I did hire a cover artist once, but the image had nothing to do with the content, so I figured even though a cover artist had the right talents, he/she might not be able to do what I want....and then I've paid money for the wrong art.

At least if I do it and it's the wrong art, I can alter it for free. LOL. But some day....some day I'll get a professional design by like...Mad gods...preditory ethics.com. THose are STUNNING

Yeah, agreed. Like stand-alone artworks. I've never even looked at the prices on that site! Maybe it just says, "convince us of your worthiness." ;)

But I really do think yours are lovely. Typography is mystifying to me ... I'll have to take your word for it that yours could be improved, because it looks good to me. The underlying images and colors are just wonderfully evocative, and I love the way the images break the frame of each cover. Wish I had those skills!
That's a gorgeous free cover (although to me it says "paranormal-set-in-Arizona" rather than sci-fi).
LOL> and thus the reason i stopped writing the story. What I know about scifi I can fit on the head of a pin
