I created an online glossary generator tool ("GG"; it's free) as glossaries are SO time-consuming to construct, but they're also something I include in all my own books, and are invaluable to readers. Just wanted to sign-post it in case it can be of help to anyone :geek:. You can find an article about it I wrote for Indies Unlimited here. It originally started life as a python program on my computer until I realised it might be useful for other authors too.

Some usage stats: Today: 32; Yesterday: 30; Last month: 669

How it works: GG combs your uploaded manuscript for what it thinks might be useful terms (nothing is saved by the program or website, don't worry!), and then outputs the useful terms as a text file. GG also helps find errors (such as where you might have misspelt a main character's name) that other error-finding programs don't find.

How it helps with x-ray too: I've recently uploaded terms for the x-ray feature in Amazon KDP, and while the x-ray tool also combed my book for key terms, my own glossary generator found way more.

So in summary, the glossary generator:
  1. Helps find glossary terms
  2. Helps find errors
  3. Helps with KDP's X-Ray feature
  4. Is free!
Any questions, feel free to message me. Enjoy!

Sounds like a fantastic idea! However, the "Go" button doesn't seem to work. I waited for like forever but nothing happened...
Hey - what browser are you trying on? I just tried on chrome and works fine (a .txt file is output, which I can then save). Also, what file did you upload?
