I discovered a website today that offers free stock images. Unlike most other free stock image sites, this one has some decent model stock if you really search for it. Some of you might already know about it. For others, here it is: http://www.stockfreeimages.com/

It says, "Our free images can be used and modified for websites, web banners&headers, advertisements (flyers, brochures, posters), powerpoint presentations, book covers/pages, CD covers, smart phone applications, etc. You will be granted worldwide rights for unlimited projects and up to 10,000 printed copies (unlimited online).". I think that's great!

This site has an impressive collection of quality photos. And for free to boot. Good resource.

Oh so THAT'S where Dreamstime's free section went. (And why I recognized the licensing use in the OP, haha.) I was wondering why I could find the link on the Dreamstime site anymore. Seems they've made it a totally different site now. Cool.

Thank you!  That must be where the bulk of the decent free model shots that were on Dreamstime went after they re-jigged their site a while back.  They only have 500 odd pages of free images in total now on Dreamstime - they've obviously farmed the others out to this site.  Sheesh, they could have told me that's what they'd done when I e-mailed them to ask what had happened to the thousands of free images that were previously available.  They just told me they'd had a site redesign.

Anyway, many thanks again for that!  :)

Thanks for the site, and for the others as well, everyone. I did a quick look around, and found a couple of things I can use.

I'll add them to my resource page, as I'm always looking for good places for art and I know others are too.

Your book covers are gorgeous Dark Rayne. I've checked out this site before, it's pretty good. Have added it to my favourites list for future reference.
Thank you, you guys! :D

I haven't been on dreamstime's free section in a while so I'm not sure. However I clearly remember that those photos were just for non-commercial use. If I was to use them commercially, I had to purchase a license. That doesn't seem to be the case with this site. Maybe they did move the free section and changed their policy about these as well.

They were commercial use when I saw them on there - but they may have changed the license by then in anticipation of their change around (which happened a few months later).  It was the same as this - up to 10,000 copies before you have to re-license.
