Acclaimed Author Allison Leotta Adds to WRW February 9 Line-Up!

Former D.C. sex-crimes prosecutor and acclaimed novelist Allison Leotta will kick off WRW's "Get a Clue" Saturday on February 9 with the workshop presentation "How to Write Realistically about Crime." Allison will teach you to infuse your stories with gritty authenticity.

Allison Leotta was a federal prosecutor in DC for twelve years. She now writes novels featuring -- surprise! -- a fictional DC prosecutor. Law of Attraction was named one of the best books of 2012 by Suspense Magazine, and the sequel, Discretion, was nominated for Best Book of the Tear by Romance Reviews Today. She is also the founder of the award-winning blog, The Prime-Time Crime Review.

Acclaimed author Alma Katsu will also participate in the presentation.

In addition to the morning session, Allison will moderate an afternoon panel, too.

Participants will include:

Alma Katsu is a former CIA and NSA analyst and acclaimed novelist. Her debut, "The Taker," was named a Top Ten Debut Novel of 2011 by the American Library Association. "The Reckoning," the second book in the Taker trilogy, was published in June 2012, by Gallery Books/Simon and Schuster.

Detective Wandella Fields is a detective in the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department's Sex Offense Unit.

K.E. is an agent with the Department of Homeland Security, former Border Patrol Officer, and former U.S. Army Ranger.

Glenn Kirschner - Mr. Kirschner is the former Homicide Chief of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, a former Army JAG Corp lawyer, and currently an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington D.C.

Don't forget we look forward to seeing you from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Ballston Conference Center Marymount University in Arlington, VA. (1000 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA)
