Get to know some Kboards authors and artists

9010 Views 50 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  R. M. Webb
I've been interviewing Kboards artists and what a slew of interesting people we have hanging around here!

I'll post a new interview on my blog each Friday and I'd highly suggest you pop in to read about these people. I mean, of course I highly suggest it. It's my blog, it's not surprising I think it's all fascinating. But beyond that, the authors, artists, and actors I've interviewed have fascinated me even more.

Just to get things started, I interviewed myself. (giggle) Check it out if you'd like:

What a diverse man!

Please stop by and leave any questions you have as comments on the interviews. I'd love to get some conversations started!

**As of March 6th, I'm not taking anymore interview requests until I get caught up with the ones I've started. I've gotten to know so many cool people and each of you deserve as much time as I can give you. Once I'm caught up, I'll open up interviews requests again.**

If you're interested in doing an interview, check out my original post (http://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,209829.msg2925361.html#msg2925361) or just go ahead and PM me.

Just to clarify: I use artists as a loose term to encompass writers, painters, actors, dancers, musicians, jugglers... all of that and more...
Read and loved your self-interview!  Now I have a satisfying backstory to accompany the woman in the spectrally intense photo. (And my child is impatiently waiting to turn 8 in April as well!)

Why thank you!

Our state law mandates that kids stay in booster seats in the car until 8. My son is GIGANTIC! Taller than some 10 year-olds, but just shy of the height requirement that would free him from the booster before being 8. He is eagerly awaiting freedom. ;)
You chose amazing interview questions! What a wonderful interview :) I'm excited to see what's waiting in the wings.

I'm actually grinning. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed letting me pick your brain. ;)

And congratulations on your upcoming publication! Wishing you many happy upticks on all your graphs everywhere.
Thanks so much! I may go insane before next week Tuesday, but hey, what artist hasn't gone a bit insane for her work? ;)

My daughter is happy enough in her princess seat but all the other girls in her class are 8 so she's antsy. My son is a late August bday and I expect him to be the youngest, but I've been surprised that my daughter has been the youngest girl with an April bday in 2 different schools.
I've been thinking over the great interview questions you sent me. I'm planning to begin answering them tomorrow. Thanks so much for posting a link to your answering your own interview questions. Such a great interview! Got me psyched about answering the same questions. This now feels more like a discussion in which writers get to compare what it means to each of us to be a writer/artist. Thanks for doing this! :)

Eep! Thank you for saying that. I really want to create a space where artists of all sorts can discuss what it is to create. I imagine comments and questions on people's interviews... Just a really friendly place to discuss the difficulties and beautiful moments we encounter... Ahhh... I get excited just thinking about it!

Take your time with the questions. I can't imagine how busy you are!
Check out this interview with Greg Tremblay. Throw him some questions in the comment section.

To those of you who have sent me your completed interviews:

I know I've gone quiet on you. I've got a slew of interviews in my inbox and will work through them TOMORROW, SATURDAY, MARCH 7. I don't want to race through your questions. I want to spend time and get things done right. :)

Thank you for giving me so many interesting answers that I'm having trouble keeping up!
Awesome, RM!! Bookmarked to read later (have to run!)

Thanks Julz! Greg was super fun to interview and has such a great way of looking at life.

...plus he raises chickens...
...bonus points...
Phew! I'm mostly caught up on all the interviews in my inbox. However, since I'm scheduled out until June at this point, I'm not accepting anymore interviews for the time being.

I've had such a great time getting to know these authors and artists, I'll most definitely be opening myself back up to interviews in the near future.

In the meantime, I'll keep this thread updated with new interviews as they go live.

Happy creating to you all!
R
Sounds like a lot of fun, can't wait to read through them all.
Enjoyed the interviews, RM. When's your next one? :)

Hey! Thanks for reading! Glad you enjoyed them. :)

The next one is scheduled for Friday. In fact, I've got one scheduled each Friday until June!
