I downloaded the free add on to Word, but didn't complete it when it threw up the terms for it to be used in conjuction with data sharing.

Has anyone used this Grammarly add on and is it worth it?

Am I wrong to be worried about the data sharing?

I loved it, but then my computer security software started complaining that it was sending information from my computer, so I deleted it. Since I use ProWriting Aid it was't worth worrying about.

I'm a ProWritingAid user, so I can't really speak for Grammarly (If I understand it, PWA is more comprehensive than Grammarly but the core function should be the same), but I use it to tighten the text during the editing process and I really like it. It helps a lot in finding repeated words, identifying passive voice issues and minor grammar issues (extra spaces, missed punctuation, etc.)
