I was wandering around my apartment and had this moment where I was like, "I AM SO GRATEFUL!"  So I thought I would come over here and start a gratitude list.  The rules?  Just write down something simple that stopped you in your tracks today and make you glad.

For me?  Garbage bags tall enough for my garbage can.

In the greater scheme of things and events of the day, I have seen or talked with both of my children, their spouses and my grandson.  I am grateful for each of them and one more chance to tell them I love them.

In the not so grand scheme of things, I was grateful that I had enough wrapping paper AND tape AND boxes for the gifts I needed to get under the tree!

So sad you're having a bad day, Tipsy!  Red velvet donuts and good friends sure make things easier to bear...

So, today I am grateful for all the silly little Christmas decorations I've bought over the years.  I finally had the time to put them up and the whole apartment looks fresh and new.

I'm grateful for the many hugs and I love yous I got from my children today.

On another note, I'm grateful to be nominated over at PRG in the Action/Adventure genre for the Best Reviewer Read of 2012 even if I don't get any votes.  It gave me a small bright moment yesterday morning before the news crushed my spirits.

I'm grateful to have my kids home for Christmas vacation, all happy and safe. I'm grateful my work is going smoothly and both my husband and I have managed not to catch the kids' cold (yet). Also grateful hubby finally got the new job he's been wanting for so long. And one silly thing: I'm grateful for a warm, soft robe and fuzzy socks on a cold day like this.  A Yorkshire terrier to cuddle with is an added bonus. :)

The sun came out for hours today. In December, in London, England. Several people got frightened and started shouting: "What's that yellow thing?"
Ha ha ha! And here in sunny California, the words came out of my mouth this morning, "I'm SO GLAD that we got a little cold and drizzle this weekend! It hasn't been feeling like Christmas at all..." :D

So today I am grateful for my co-worker who gave me tickets to see Charles Phoenix's Retro Holiday Slide Show (I laughed until my face broke) and my friends who took me out to Denny's to try https://34242937965%2Fmenu-items-include-11-breakfast-lunch-and-dinner . The lemon poppycake french toast is a divine gift from the heavens.

I am grateful that I have a wonderful place that I call home.  I am quite serious about that, several times a week I tell God thank You, I am so grateful.
