Perhaps the best way is to put a guide in back matter of book? I'm seeing directories through AuthorBuzz etc... Meet Up. But do any of these pitch resources work? Thanks!

In my experience, it's hard to suggest your book to book clubs. Most of them like to keep the way they choose books within the group itself at their discretion, even if you offer a discount, donate paperbacks, or even gift it to them. I've been on KBoards since around 2014-2015 and have yet to see any authors mention they found a reliable way to get their books into the hands of book clubs, unfortunately. I've joined a handful of Amazon online book clubs and submitted my book to their pool of choices and that's about the closest I've gotten. I think two book clubs have read one of my books before and it was completely random happenstance. I was notified via Instagram that a book club is going to read my sci-fi first in series this fall, though, so that's nice, but I don't think I did anything particular that made me more visible to them; they just happened to choose my book.

Do not solicit reader groups. All you'll accomplish is pissing them off and ensuring they'll never read your book. If you want to reach readers that way, join the group, participate in the discussions, and get to know them. It's okay to tell them you are a writer. If you become a part of their community, they'll volunteer to read your book.
It's a long process. But it is what it is. There are no shortcuts. In the end, it's worth the time and effort. You make long-term, meaningful connections with people who read and tell others about the books they like.
