Has anyone sold anything on B&N UK?

After having read that thread about PubIt resetting the distribution rights, I just changed all of my stories to worldwide.  But I was curious if anyone has had any luck over there or if it's just crickets?

And then on a larger scale, do you think B&N has what it takes to make itself a presence in the UK?

According to my records I've sold a whopping 7 books on the UK Nook platform. So yes, I've seen sales, but no, not a significant amount.

As to the second question, I hate to count anyone out, but since Barnes & Noble has very little name recognition in the UK, my gut says they're probably going to make more of a soft plop across the pond versus any sort of splash. I say that because well over 50% of my sales this year have been made in the UK, and, well...7 from the Nook platform. 'nuff said. Perhaps someone who actually lives in the UK can give us a different picture.
Honestly I don't see the stores lasting much longer.  Or if they do it will be after some major downsizing and a partnership with Starbucks.  But I don't see the website as a total loss.  Yeah, it needs some work.  But lately my B&N sales have really increased and a sizable portion of people like using the Nook.
B&N figures are only updated to 10 Jan on Smashwords, but in those 10 days I sold a whole three books on Nook UK. :) I currently have around 10,000 sales a month on Amazon UK (an unfair comparison for all sorts of reasons, I know).

But it's early days yet. I, too, would be very interested in hearing from people in the UK on this.
This is just my own opinion, but I reckon B&N came too late in the game to make any kind of impact over here. If they'd been smart and partnered with a bookstore chain, like Kobo did, then maybe they would have stood a chance, but now it's all about Kindles and iPads (people love their iPads over here). Also, I'm pretty sure we don't even have Barnes & Noble shops, so there really isn't any name recognition here to rely on.

It serves them right, to be honest. They took so long to go international, and even now non-US authors can't publish direct, yet they want our book sales. Kobo knew what it was doing, B&N didn't. Going up against Amazon and not branching out internationally? Whose smart idea was that?

**everyone points at each other**
I should add I'm selling over a thousand books a month on the US Nook platform, so 7 in the UK is...disappointing. I'd hoped they'd do better.
Checked on this as I always have strong UK sales at LSI and Amazon and iTunes.

Hmmm. US only rights checked.

Thanks for making me notice this.
I changed all rights back to Worldwide, and republished, but am not sure it worked, since all ebooks just stayed published. No BandN sales reported outside the USA.

Well it took a long time for Amazon UK to pick up speed. Let's not even go into all the other little Amazon branches.
It will be tough for B&N to get a foothold in the UK. The major book chain is Waterstones, who have a deal with Amazon.

Like to sell kindles? Or what?

Yes, Waterstones sells Kindles from their stores.
Does anyone think that B&N will ever just throw in the towel and partner with Amazon?
Apparently I missed the memo where B&N told us we have to click worldwide rights... because B&N is awesome that way. *headdesk*

Don't feel bad. Most people did. There was a thread on here a few days ago discussing it which was when I saw the light. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
B & N is in the process of closing stores & restructuring the whole business. Their Nook arm has apparently been handled badly. Ominous. But I'm not selling w/ them anyway...
