You're right it is a long post, but worth the read. Thank goodness I have self published, even though the likely rewards are less than for a traditionally published author. What a minefield.

Thanks for this. Have cut and pasted some of it. My agent unfortunately passed away last year. Since e-publishing I haven't been in a hurry to find another one.
