I don't have any stories out yet, other than a free read, but I haven't printed any reviews of it (namely because they're 1-2 line reviews).

But, I've been kind of keeping a...scrapbook type thing (on my computer--though I do have the materials for a real one and will do that when I, you know, find the materials again), to kind of keep track of what and how I've been doing. I've screencap'd a few things: reviews, rankings, etc. When I get my real scrapbook started, I'll be all over printing out the good stuff to add to it. (Yes, I'm a nerd.)

I don't see a downside to it. If you're having a particularly bad day, just look at the review and remember the good things. So no, I don't think it's wrong at all and I say do eeet!  ;D

BTW, this is what I heard last night when my daughter finished book #2. "Whaaaat?! That's all?! Nooooo....." You've apparently ended on a cliff hanger.

I just left my review on her behalf. I hope book #3 is on its way or I may have to go back and dock you a star for the grief she's going to put me through. ;)

Kind of.

I just got my first 'real' review and it was so horrible and so humiliating that I want to print it out and stick it up on the wall in order to....actually, I don't know how to finish this just yet...the blood is not yet coagulated and it's still dripping as I'm reflecting and mulling the choices...

-Work to get better at writing
-Laugh
-Send the reviewer a kind note, thanking him
-Give up and quit
-Get a 'real' job so I can pay an editor
-Go up from here, as this is about the only direction left
-Practice, practice, practice
-Write anyway, but give it away as it's not worth the price of the paper it's printed on
-Warn readers before they buy this inferior product of mine, Caveat Emptor, I think it is
-Crawl under the bed in shame
-Cry, rant, sulk, pout, and go out and get drunk or have a bout of dubious, anonymous sex
-Take it with a grain of salt and plod onwards

...among other fleeting thoughts in my head these past 24 hours....

Aw, Susie, I'm sorry to hear that. Writers are all very emotional creatures it seems.

Congrats, Sybil, and I would totally put it up on my wall. The first time I got paid for writing I copied the check and framed the copy :) Had it on my wall for years, and it's still around here somewhere...

LOL! I'll release book 3 as soon as the edits and cover are finished!
