A little bit about me.-It's from my website so it's written in third person. Not that I mind referring to myself in third person, I just usually like to wear my princess crown while doing it. -
Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead(though she will deny to her children that it ever happened).
From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back. Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.

I decided to start writing in June of '10 after the pre-mature birth of my third son. He was born at 31 weeks, nine weeks early, and it was a very rough delivery. I lost a great deal of blood and had some touch and go moments. While I was recovering from my c-section, without my baby, I had a lot of time to think. In my morphine pumped induced state, I considered all the things that I'd done and what I still wanted to do.
I'd had A LOT of fun in my life, and marrying my husband and having my children was a joy that I can never fully explain. One thing I'd wanted to do was write a book. I've always been a heavy reader, my husband used to moan at my monthly bills from the bookstore, and I have an over-active imagination. The trouble was focusing my ADD 'Oh look a squirrel, oh look a penny' self to sit down and write.
The idea for Blessed, my debut Paranormal Romance came to me one night in a dream. I was sitting in a lecture hall while my amazingly handsome professor was teaching. I 'knew' we had a hot and steamy secret relationship going on outside of the classroom. That there was something special about us that set us apart from the rest of the class, something magical. He paused in his lecture and looked up at me with eyes as green as pine trees. The dream shifted into something boring after that, but the image of our eyes meeting and that zap of erotic electricity stayed with me. As time went on, I began to imagine a story for him.
That story soon took on a life of its own, and Blessed was born. After that, the floodgates were opened and I've been abandoning myself to my muse ever since.
I hope that you enjoy my book. It is my fondest wish to bring happiness into your life, and to bring you a story about the kind of love that I think everyone deserves mixed with a dash of magic and humor.
