Stumbled on this site while researching self-publishing, and it looks like an amazing resource and community.  No books to my name, yet, though I hope to correct that little problem in the near future.  I've owned a Kindle for about a year and a half now.  I used to be a pretty avid dead-tree edition reader, but these days I'm looking at clearing out my two bookshelves and just buying them on the Kindle.  Not that I don't still love paperback books, but it's just more convenient now.
