I'm trying to think of a word but totally blocking on it for some reason. It's the word used often in a condescending way by older people to describe the naïve optimism of young people who aren't yet experienced and jaded by the reality of life. It's on the tip of my tongue/brain. I've searched the thesauruses and it's not popping up. Maybe I'm describing it wrong.

Pasted the original post into chatGPT:

The word you may be thinking of is "naive" or "idealistic." Another possible word is "innocent." However, the word that is commonly used in a condescending way by older people to describe the naïve optimism of young people is "naïve." Older people might say something like, "You're so naïve, you don't understand how the world really works."

There’s something pretty amusing about it pushing naive super hard even though the post also mentions the term.
