I’ve had my Kindle for about 3 months and have been lurking on this
board for quite a while. Thought it was time I stepped up and said hello
and thank you to all of you for your informative and friendly posts. I’ve
gotten some great ideas from these boards. For example, I first learned
about Decal Girl’s skins here, and now my kindle is quite lovely in her Van Gogh’s
Irises. She’s still waiting patiently for me to decide which Oberon cover to buy.
I used to lug around several books at a time, but love, love, love the fact
the I can carry a whole library around with me. And my Kindle is always
with me no matter where I go. You know how you feel naked
when you leave your cell phone at home? Well, that’s how I am about
my Kindle now! Here in the wilds of NJ, you never know when you’ll
be stuck in traffic or a long line at the grocery store. I almost don’t mind
the wait when I can pull my Kindle out of my purse and immerse myself,
even for a few minutes, in a great book.
I’m an avid reader of just about everything. My latest favorites have been
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and
Annie Barrows, The Charlemagne Pursuit by Steve Berry, and The Last
Oracle by James Rollins. I just started reading The Mental Floss History
of the World by Eric Sass and Steve Wiegand. I love Mental Floss and
am a long time subscriber to their magazine.
Anyway, nice to meet all of you. And thanks again for being here when
I was a fledgling Kindle owner.
Best,
Sue
