I just joined the Kindle Boards after seeing them recommended a few times on author blogs, and really, what better way to avoid doing my tax return today?
I'm from the Central Coast, Australia (just north of Sydney). I've been a professional visual artist for years now, and I just published my first book this week. It's felt like my whole life has revolved around this book for months, and now it's done and out there I'm almost at a loose end as to what to do with myself. And doing my tax return still isn't appealing...
The only other author/writing/reading community I've been part of is the Online Writers Workshop which was great while I was revising and editing, but I've been looking for a new hang out to meet other authors, indies, and readers. I hope this is it!
I'd really love to make a few more Beta-Buddies for reviewing each others upcoming books, so if there are any other YA market writers out there, particularly in the fantasy genre, who are interested, let me know!
