But only because it comes in color and I illustrate my stuff.
I'm looking forward to talking about books!

Welcome anyway! Most of us are published for both Kindle and Nook and are happy to see our Nook sales go up a bit now and then. So you are our new best friend!  :D

Hi Jane,

I'm new here too. Don't know if I should own up to this or not, but I don't
own an ereader yet... for shame :)

I do like the fact that the Nook is color as you say, but it seems the Kindle
is more popular and I heard that Kindle 4 could likely be coming out in
color. Who knows.

Maybe Santa will be good to me this year... my bookshelves are groaning
as I write.

Welcome. Nooks get the job done too and it means that you still have something in common with everyone here -- a love of reading. :)

Hi Jason,

I'm a big fan of print books too. Depends on the book, really.
I heard that Kindle will probably be coming out with a color reader, but I couldn't wait. If they do, I hope it's the e-ink instead of a back-lit screen. And waterproof! For tub reading.
Gee, I don't want much do I? Thanks for the welcome and same to you!

Hey Jason,

You said you don't own an e-reader yet. Not sure if you're aware of this or not, but you can download the Kindle reader app for either PC or Mac, and read a Kindle book right on your computer. It works just like a bonafide Kindle, and I use it all the time. Doesn't let you experience anti-glare "e-ink" like a Kindle, but it's pretty good for free.

Anyway, welcome once again to both of you!

Thanks for the welcome, MichelleR!

And PJ, I use Kindle for Mac to help proof e-files. I have a few books on there too. ;-j

Good to see you, Jane.

I wonder if, eventually, every device will be compatible and the choice down to aesthetics more than anything else.

Hope you enjoy this forum and find it as useful as I have.
