HOLY COW IT'S FRIDAY --- Fat Free, Everybody - fast fast fast

In my head it was Thursday. Which means I would have worked from home tomorrow (like the rest of this week) and not gone to pick up Roomie at the airport.

So, what's everyone's good news for the week - I'm LOVING the December thread. Very uplifting.

I have exams this month, so no writing for me. I thought I'd be antsier about it, but I burnt myself out trying to get the last one out

On the upside, the next one I realized I need to throw away all but chapters 1 & 2 and rewrite... I'm so glad to know it. I'd been trying to swim up stream.

The one after that just needs editing when #1 is done!!!!

So, I know we're all on health kicks, so since nothing feels fat free lately, what's your favorite snack? ME: Amazingly there were cherries at the grocer again this week *buys as many as she can afford*

Alright, what's YOUR good news. You know the drill - good news only. Writing, Life, etc - anything goes.

In spite of several mishaps, 9/10ths of a meltdown (wouldn't fit in my sig unless I kick out a book, so no) and the loss of two working days I managed to upload all my books direct to Apple, salvaged enough of my schedule to write 20,000+ words, hit the bike twice and mostly hold to my diet. And I'm down four pounds, so...yay.
Robert, every time you post about the diet I feel the need to get up and do jumping jacks!

I'll be happy if I lost one pound, but I'm down to only 10 to lose so I guess 10% is good!!!

TL - I'm so impressed with the whole blog tour. I would love to hear more about setting it up. Did they do it all for you (well, except the writing) or how does it work? It's going to be great!
ARE WE SURE IT'S NOT THURSDAY?

oops sorry...wrong thread.
Oh and I just got my 200th Facebook fan. Score. Maybe tomorrow I'll hit my hundredth Twitter follower, too.

Oh, and for treat I've been eating tons of blackberries this week.
Pass me something gooey and chocolatey, please. I need all the good news you guys can bring. I put in an offer on a house today that was denied and I am super bummed out :(
I came home tonight and my husband gave me a card, roses, and took me out to eat at one of my favorite places to eat (that he doesn't care for). It's been a rough couple of months with the holidays and other stressors, so we decided that we were just going to start fresh from here and move forward.

It was really sweet and really unexpected. Which puts me in exactly the right mood for a little romance writing.  ;D
Ok, Rachel, here's some good news: I read In Search of a Love Story this week and loved it so much I sent an email to several reading buddies suggesting it :) Can't wait to try the others by you I picked up.

Ouch! We've had that happen to us...twice. It's so heartbreaking. But I love the house that we have now and am so glad those others fell through. Hopefully you'll find "the one" very soon.
Oh Rachel, I'm so sorry. House-hunting is so hard on the heart.

Chocolate all around!

Thanks, I hope something new comes up on the market very soon!

You just MADE MY NIGHT! Thank you, Caitie, seriously. I needed that! I got a crummy review on that book today and my post-free run has been lackluster so I haven't been feeling too hot. You totally cheered me right up ;D
I sold my first paperback of the new year.

Well, I got credited with payment for my first paperback of the new year, anyway. No sales rank movement, so who knows. But, still, money, yay. :)

Well, it's no house, but I REALLY did enjoy it!!!
Very dear friends whom we used to hang out with every weekend when we lived in England came to visit - the first time we'd seen them in 20 years! It felt as if we just picked up the conversation where it had left off. Just wonderful to see them again.
Let's see...

The book I wanted to set perma-free... is now perma-free on Amazon! (.com only so far, but am hoping the others pop up soon). Oh... and it just showed up perma-free on Barnes & Noble as well. Cool!

Proofs for the prequel and Book 1 arrived and looked AWESOME. Approved them. Now need to get Book 2 prepped and ready and I can actually hold all three books in my eager little hands.

Non-writing related happy news: oldest child earned the top scholarship award at the high school of her choice. Mega-proud papa here.
I'm about to release my next book in a couple days here, so that's nice. :)

I'm also about to cross 10,000 sales for the month, which is a first for me, and just...insane. Absolutely insane. I can't even wrap my head around that number. It's slowing down a lot and approaching "normal" levels, but still. That's...just...yeah. My brain is borked over it.

My family is going to go to Monterey Bay next week to celebrate my speshul new milestone. I'm pretty excited about that, too.

:bows down in awe:
I've gone from the wishing-I-were-dead variety of sick to the normal I-don't-feel-good kind of sick. Never thought being sick would be good news, but this week I've been reintroduced to concept that everything is relative.

Here's some good news. I posted when Three Girls and a Baby was free. One of my friends got it, and told me the other day she loved it. Went on to buy the rest.

Need a tattoo while you're there? One of my good friends there is a kick ass tattoo artist.
