Horror Authors: Be Featured on Blog and/or Offer Book for Review

I started a blog a couple of years back to promote horror. The original idea centered on celebrating Halloween and it pulled in some great fans and numbers. However, I soon realized that Halloween is actually a 365 day a year event. While some can't start celebrating Christmas soon enough, the same applies to Halloween. If you're into horror, you know what I mean.

Because of all of the above, I'm going to open up the blog to my fellow horror peeps for a little promo. I mean, if you're writing, people should know about what they're missing out on by not reading your work, right? However, since the fans of this blog have come to expect what's been done in the month of October, authors who want to participate must be willing to: either (1) write a short horror story; or (2) write a blog that tells about your experience with the supernatural. The short and/or blog must not include any self-promotion. If it does, you will be thrown into a pit of hell where your piteous screaming will do no good. Think of the story/blog post as letting the reader sample what you're about.

I will give ample opportunity for you to promote away! It just won't be in the short or post. You send me the copy and any pics you want included in the promo including a bio. Anything other than nude selfies will be acceptable. I figure if you have to rely on those kinds of photos to generate revulsion, you just aren't trying hard enough! And if you don't send me a bio, I will use the one on Amazon.

Here's a link to my Halloweenpalooza blog:

It should give you a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for.

I also started a horror review group. It's small because I've been busy doing other things, but any book offered up for review will be pimped out through my FB Halloweenpalooza event member list. That's a big long list of rabid horror fans so you might get a bite or two. Nothing big at this point, but one or two reviews might help.

Here's the link to that:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1537545783152756/

In terms of what you need to do there:

1. First get an okay from me that your work fits in with what the group is about
2. You post any promo you want, but everything needs to be kept in one post. No spamming -- ever
3. FB members contact you directly and you are responsible for getting review copies out to everyone

Thanks and you can DM me if interested in either option.

You're digging a "GARDEN"? *snicker snicker*

Yeah, right .... writing horror, I'm immediately suspicious. I'll just say make sure it's deep enough to hide all the body parts.

And your books look perfect.
I will check this out. :)

FYI, my garden is well fertilized... though one of my new additions put up more of a fight than normal... messed up the cilantro...

Cilantro is messed up to begin with. :)
Thanks. I'll check it out. Perhaps send my authors your way.  ;)
