How do I get folks to read my fantasy book? Particularly bloggers or people of literary influence?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the king's death, they helped establish a fellowship of virtue and a kingdom of peace. Now they threaten to tear it apart.

They are The Guardians of Valinon.

Book One: Torches
A fellowship of legendary heroes has crumbled, leaving a divided realm on the brink of war. From the chaos, a new generation of guardians will rise to bear the torches, and the sins, of the old.

Book Two: Blood
Now threatened by invasion from both man and monster, Ursidor rallies the heroes of Veredon to prepare for war. Meanwhile, Leuco and Maria are faced with a decision that will change their lives forever. Will they stand by their beliefs or by their blood?

Book Three: Thrones
The war between rival rulers begins as Canidae unveils his plan to bring the legacy of the Guardians of Valinon to a catastrophic end.

Only 99 cents each with book samples available for quick download. The first few pages will definitely get you hooked!

And don't forget that you are allowed to start a book thread on kb in the Book Bazaar. Just be sure to read the rules first.  :)  Good luck!

Oh, and you also might want to offer your book as a prize on a blog contest.

Some have tried a very interesting experiment: list book 2 in the series FREE at Smashwords. If/when Amazon's bots pick it up, it'll be free on Amazon, too. People might buy book 1 because they got book 2 for free. When you start to see the number of free downloads dwindle, set the price back to 99c at Smashwords.

This strategy may not work for you, but it has worked for some with amazing results.

Yep, all of the above. Self-publishing is easy, it's the marketing that'll break you out in a sweat (or induce the occasional nervous breakdown). But stick with it and it'll pay off.
