I have close to 500 books on my Kindle.  I have a 1 GB SD card and still have plenty of room for more.  Now I just need the time to read them all.

I have bought/downloaded for free 30 books. I have about 15 on my Kindle itself. I try and keep books that I am waiting to read on the Kindle itself and remove books from the Kindle after I have finished them. The only exception to that rule right now is Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series. I am continually choosing one of the five books in that series to re-read bits and pieces of.

I have 10 books on my Kindle. I have another 76 books in category folders on my desktop computer ready to transfer over when needed. I also have about 20 books in my Amazon wish list, although not all of them are Amazon books. I "wish list" books I find on any site via Amazon's wish list button.

Like Linda, I like to keep it simple. I currently have 3 books, one of short stories, the one I am reading and one that I finished but loved so much
I have not yet deleted it, since I may re-read the end. (The Art of Racing in the Rain) I have about 4 or 5 samples on there and 2 issues of Readers Digest and that is it.

Right now, I have 33 pages = 396 books.  A lot of these are samples, though.  I also have a lot of books on my computer that I've gotten for free from various places that need to be converted and/or transferred to my Kindle, though.  I'm a total packrat and never delete anything ;D

432 items. Several are "books" bundled with up to 5 books per, 26 are samples, one is my address book and one is my Index by Author.

A lot are public domain and creative commons books and only about 100 are from Amazon. About half of the ones from Amazon are from before I got my "one click" under control  :-[, a fair amount of free books from the free book thread, a lot from the discounted book thread, and I have a few that I did pay the full Kindle price for that I thought were worth it.

I thought it would be an adventure to just pick a book from my "library" and read, but I found I hated not knowing what a book was about before I read it (yay for blurbs!). So I ended up spending about a week making an index with Word and converting it via Mobipocket Creator. Now when I'm ready for another read, I just go to my index and page through to find something that strikes my fancy. Much like going to a bookstore! A lot of work, but definitely worth it. ;D

Steve: This is a great idea. I "only" have 60 books on my Kindle so far, and I was already wondering how I was going to organize them since Kindle doesn't allow for folders.
Thanks!! ;D

Tons of samples and PDF docs, but only about 6 actual books. I do usually read much more quickly, but since I got my Kindle right before the holidays, I've been slow. I have downloaded some of the free books from the Free Books thread in the Book Korner, but I'm not going to count them here, as they were free. Stuff I paid money for:

Brisingr
Outlander
Dragonfly in Amber
Voyager
The Princess Bride
Moonlight
