How to use a different Pen Name?

426 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  CJAnderson
Do you to have set up a completely new Amazon account to publish books under a different pen name? I am considering writing some different genres but with a different name.

If anyone is experienced in this process, please let me know here or in PM.

Thanks!

Nope, you just enter a different name under 'Author'. The books for separate pen names won't be linked to each other in any way (from a customer's point of view), even though they'll be under the same amazon account.
Awesome.

So you are able to set up a different Author Central page also? With the same Amazon login?

Yes. I think you can have up to three on one login.

Sounds great! Thanks for the info :-*

Also I just found this on the KDP board:

Here is the procedure from KDP Support:

Author Central allows you to manage up to three Author Pages within a single account. If you write under your real name as well as a pseudonym, you can manage both Author Pages from the same Author Central account. Here's how:

1. Log in to Author Central (https://authorcentral.amazon.com).
2. Click the "Books" tab located on the top of the page.
3. Click on the "Add more books" link that appears under "Are we missing a book?"
4. Search for books written by Nom de Plume by title, author, or ISBN.
5. Click "This is my book."

FYI this was incredibly easy to do...Kudos to Amazon for making it so  8)
