I've been keeping my head for a couple of weeks because I can't quite believe it. I am now working with Dedalus Books, a small literary fiction outfit with a big reputation. They have asked me to do some extensive re-working, so I have taken Heaven Sent down from Amazon etc, which might seem drastic, but it feels fantastic. The crit they gave me has been really valuable and I am thoroughly enjoying pulling the book apart, re-visiting and further developing the characters. I've no idea when the book will hit the shops as once I have finished there is a further process of reader checks and perhaps some more changes. I know I will have a much better novel at the end of it and ultimately I will have improved my craft - until, that is, I am looking at the empty page of the next one and then it starts all over again.

Congrats!  Never heard of them, but  that doesn't mean anything (probably because I haven't looked much into small publishers lately). If you're happy with them, that's great. What are the royalties you signed up for?
