I wrote a book with a decent plot, but terrible dialog. 
(About a dirty cop who gets found out by his girlfriend's daughter.) I haven't revisited it yet, but at least this year I was close to wrapping up as I hit 50,000. Last year I was only halfway done with the book. That one never got finished, I'm sad to say.

I've not heard of the NaNoWriMo until these last couple of months when I read about on some of my favorite websites and my local newspaper. Sounds very challenging, at the least! What an awesome thing to participate in
