If you could meet anyone, who would it be?

Hi Ya'll,

In the past week or so, I've been asked the same question several different times: If you could meet anyone you wanted, who would it be (time doesn't matter)? Now it's my turn to ask  ;D

BTW, my answer has always been the same: Jesus Christ (I'm not a Jesus freak. I just think talking to him would be very interesting).

Someone in my own family, such as the grandfather who died long before I was born. Having some sense of what he was like would give me more insight into my father, I think.
Removing all dead people from the list, I'd say Stephen King.  But I don't just want to meet him.  I want to hang out with him for days and days and just talk and talk and talk.
Choosing from among the living... and avoiding obvious answers like "my wife" or anything like that... I'd have to join Elle in responding Stephen King, I think. The man's work has just been a gigantic influence on me for too many years for me to offer up any other response. I'd be short-changing Stephen if I said any other person... at least with my writer hat on.

Now, as for among the dead, probably Johnny Cash. (Hopefully June could sit in, too, because I imagine they had a great conversational chemistry.)
Among the living: Neil Gaiman.

Among the dead: My previous dog.
When I was young, I wanted to meet Fess Parker because I was a huge Davy Crockett fan.

Now? I'l like to meet my grandmother. From what I've heard, she sounds like a real hoot!
The 98-yr-old me so I know I've still got at least 50 years of writing ahead (provided the old version is still in possession of his mental faculties...)

Dang Sam, aren't you optimistic - lol. 98 years old? I suspect I'll be taking a dirt nap by the age of 80.
I'd like to spend a day with Scarlett Johansson on a nude beach with my sunglasses on. 8)
Just listening to Tarantino on NPR. Helluva smart guy. He'd be fascinating to talk to.
Paul McCartney
Bob Kane, the creator of Batman.

Neil deGrasse Tyson, the astrophysicist

When he talks about the wonders of science, you realize the absolute awe he holds for this amazing universe, our place within it, and the science that makes it possible.
I'd like to spend a day with him, just listening.

(Well, and I need to figure out a new way to make faster than light speed communication possible...)
Pablo Picasso, hands down. Besides writing, I am also an artist.  And, yes, I know he could be a real ass and was a womanizer. I would love to talk painting with him and paint along side of him for one year. As far as his other passtimes, I could care less.  Just show me the techniques and talk art to me!
I am not sure what I would ask Jesus...but I know I would be able to talk baseball with Stephen King - my single biggest writing influence.  So, for me, it would always be him.
Folks,

I had to stop watching the Skins' game against Seattle to review this thread because of a report.  I appreciate that almost everyone has been respectful of each other's responses.

I've edited one post and accordingly removed another which responded to the edited post.  Please be respectful of others' answers (as most of you have been).  Plus, no self promotion, please.

OK, I have to go back to the game now.  My 'Skins need me. RG3 needs me....

This is true. As long as I don't have to become a politician to get there... ;)
