I have been around enough that I know I should know this, but I don't. Normally when I buy from Amazon I send to my Kindle wirelessly. However yesterday I wanted to send it to my computer, and I saw no option for that on the buy page. I know that after you have bought a title you can send it to your computer via the media page, but there must be a way to send the original purchase directly to your computer. People do this before they receive their Kindle. The only options I see on the purchase page are to send it to either my Kindle or my wife's Kindle. Thanks.

only via the media page can you download to the computer.  At least that's what I have found.  Good Luck :(

When you buy it, that is the only option. However, if you go to your Amazon account after making the purchase, you'll see the book in your Kindle library with the option to download it to your computer.

When you turn the Whispernet on, if you are in an area with Whispernet, it will get downloaded.
