I decided to try experimenting with the price of my books. I have two novellas which have always been priced at .99. One's done well and the other hasn't, but one is better than the other. Of my books, I priced the traditional Regencies at 2.99, and the historical at 3.99, which I felt was fair, given that it runs about 120K words. One of the Regencies has been selling well, but the other two books have been slow. So I marked the slow-moving Regency to .99, and the historical to 2.99 (that may go down. We'll see). Well, guess what? I hadn't advertised the price change on the Regency, The Rake's Reward, and it sold 10 copies in one day, compared to less than one daily before. It went from a 77,000 ranking to app. 20,000. I'm thrilled.

This is an experiment for the summer. Come September, I'll have to decide whether to change the price back or not. As I said - we'll see.
