Help! It's sinking in that my beloved Edgar is GONE! I've already shipped him to his new home. I've already found myself looking for him twice this evening. I'm happy I found him a new loving home so quickly, and I don't regret selling him. His new companion is very happy he's on the way.

I've had a Kindle since March and have taken it with me everywhere and have used it everyday. I always make sure it's in my purse before I leave and I read every night when I go to bed.

I do have access to my daughter's Kindle, she doesn't use it nearly as much as I use mine, so it's not like I won't be able to read. I have several books on my ipod waiting to be listened to and I can always try out the ereader on it. Also, I'll be very busy at work this next couple of weeks (Valentines weekend is nuts at restaurants and Lobsterfest starts next Tuesday) so I probably won't have much time/energy to be reading anyway. If I was going to be without a kindle for 2 weeks, this is the right time to do it..But, it's kinda like I gave away my blankie. <sniff>

Feb 25th can't come soon enough.

I was going to overnight him, but UPS wanted $66?!?!?! Can you believe that? I've gotten SO spoiled by Amazon's $3.99 next day shipping with the Prime that I never imagined it would cost that much. I felt so bad when I had to settle on 2nd day shipping.

As for how quick it was, I knew if I didn't do it now, I'd start thinking and over analyzing it. I wanted the kindle2, but there's no way I could have gotten it without selling this one first. She literally bought it 2 minutes after I posted and had the money to me shortly after. I was heading into town today anyway so there was no reason not to send it out. I just took the time to back up the samples I had and sync what I was reading (that's a nice new feature of firmware 1.2 BTW)

Yes, there's a small part of me that feels guilty for selling Edgar so fast (I folded like an accordian as soon as I saw features of the k2) but as someone else said, oh, shiny...click. It kinda happened too fast to really think about it.

Xia, I believe Lobsterfest is 8 weeks. I wrote it down somewhere..There should be $4 off coupons in the paper in a few weeks too. It's our favorite promo. We've got some yummy stuff we're adding (Lobster Nachos, Surf and Turf)

Lilly, Luckily, I have my daughter's kindle and my ipod to fall back on. I don't think I could have done it otherwise.

Stargazer05, You're stronger than me. I synced several of my books to my daughter's kindle and picked up where I left off...and to sell it mid-Outlander? Oh my! I couldn't do it (and I've read it several times)

Octochick, That is why I sold it and shipped it immediately. No chance to change my mind. I do have times when I ask myself "What were you thinking? But then I just look at the pics of k1 and calm down.

Everyone else, than you so much. I know may of you are finding yourself like Kindleless as well. Be strong, it's only 2 weeks and then we'll be among the first to have our new and improved (and sexier, yeah, i said it, it is) kindle2

Luv you will be happy to know that Edgar has arrived safe and sound. He is a little shy of his new owner but I bet he warms up very soon.

I even showed Edgar off at work to 3 ladies. They were all oooh-ahhh he's so handsome! I think 2 of them are going to be looking for K's themselves.

Thank you so much for allowing me to adopt!
YEAH! I'm so happy for you and Edgar. Enjoy.
