...or have any of you been totally engrossed in a book on your Kindle only to find yourself reaching up to turn the page??? ::)

I've heard about that phenomenon before I got my K2.  I had it happen once, about two weeks after I got my Kindle.  I had a really good laugh!  One thing I'm noticing is I'm reading faster, too.
I've done just the opposite which may sound even more dumb, reading a DTB and turning the page, then what I was reading didn't make sense - well DUH, I had to shift to the left and read the left-hand page, because the page under my right thumb wasn't the next page  :-[!
Yes I have, but I have also reached and tried to press next page when reading a paper book.
See less See more
Been there, done that.  The funny thing is, after I do that, I look around to see that no one saw me making that mistake :)

I'm reading WAY faster on the Kindle. I often found it tough to get comfortable with books until I was about half way done and had stretched, bent and creased them sufficiently.

I only had to stretch, bend and crease my Kindle once, and now it is set for all my reading.
I've never done that before.  :-X :-X  lol
I've done that in the beginning.  What I still cannot get used to is not having another page to my left.  When I look left all I see is a black cover.  LOL

No. The way I tend to hold the book I just go into Stephen Hawking-mode. I'd be more afraid I'd try to button-click while reading a dtb -- luckily the hand positions are different enough that that shouldn't happen.
This has not happened yet......though I have noticed my thumb flexing on the page of a DTB when I'm ready to turn the page  ;D

Same here. **Glances around sheepishly**
I haven't...yet. Now that the seed is planted, it will happen over and over  :D
I'm with some others here, I find that on the increasingly rare occasions that I pick up a DTB (and I have well over 15,000 of them in the house, they make nice insulation now...) I tap the right edge of the DTB page and expect it to turn.
